JUNE-KO NAKAGAWA

Dear Readers,

Due to various circumstances, I will be resigning as president of Hokubei Mainichi News as of today.

During my time here at Hokubei, we have received invaluable support from our readers, our advertising sponsors, and countless community groups. I am filled with a great feeling of gratitude for all the support and collaboration we have received over the years.

I am certain that all of the staff at Hokubei will continue their daily efforts in creating this important newspaper. They are imbued with a great vision and sense of mission, to play a crucial role in documenting the history of the Japanese American community. I sincerely hope that the community will continue to support and encourage them in this mission.

On a personal level, I have been blessed with an opportunity to maintain a deep connection with the Japanese American community. I will continue to have many opportunities to see everyone at various events in and around the Japantowns. At such times, I look forward to greeting all of you directly.

Our current chairman and CEO, Don Yamate, will also be serving as president after my resignation. I hope the community will continue to support him and his efforts. Finally, I wish everyone much health and happiness in the new year.

June-ko Nakagawa
