Aya Motoike, 101, passed away on Sept. 22, 2008 at 6:25 p.m. at Dameron Hospital in Stockton. She was born in Sakaiminato Ciy, Tottori Prefecture and was affiliated with Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are: son, Raymond Motoike, and wife Michi; granddaughter, Lily Yoshimi, and husband George; brother, Gunji Kimura; grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral/memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 2343 Country Club Blvd., Stockton, CA 95204.

Robert Manabu Kameda, 67, passed away on Oct. 3, 2008 at 1:20 a.m. at home. He was born April 3, 1941 in San Jose and was affiliated with Palo Alto Buddhist Temple.

Surviving are: son, Derek T. Kameda; daughters, Darcie E. Kameda and Dina M. Kameda; sisters and brothers, Hiroko Fujii, Akira Kameda, Sherri Kawazoye, Scott Kameda, Fred Kameda, Terry Kameda and Lane Kameda.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m. at Palo Alto Buddhist Temple, 2751 Louis Rd., Palo Alto, CA 94303.

April 12, 1918 - Oct. 4, 2008

Mits Kagehiro of Tracy, Calif. passed away Oct. 4, 2008 at the age of 90 years old. He was born and raised in Colusa, Calif. and sent to the Amache, Colorado internment camp during WWII. He settled in Tracy after his release and married Elsie Noyoshi in 1947, and raised two children, Russell Kagehiro and Kim Kristoff.

Grace Kimiko Nosaka, a long-time resident of San Mateo, died peacefully at San Mateo Convalescent Hospital Sept. 20, 2008 following a long illness. She was 90 years old and the daughter of Yoshi Moyikawa Hirayama and Tetsugoro Hirayama. Her husband of 59 years, William Nosaka, died in 2002.

Toshiaki Sakaguchi, 83, passed away on Sept. 14, 2008.

Surviving are: daughter, Pam (Keith) Uyeda; son, Gary (Debbie); grandsons, Scott and Jeffrey Uyeda; brother, Moto-aki Sakaguchi; sister, Kay Nakamura; nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service was held on Monday, Sept. 22, at Buddhist Church of San Francisco.
