KYOTO (Kyodo) — Comic artists mainly from Asia gathered in Kyoto on Sept. 6 to kick off a three-day conference and jointly drew illustrations on a gigantic panel under the theme of environmental protection as one of its first events.
The ninth International Comic Artist Conference in Kyoto brings together about 400 cartoonists and manga artists from Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Nigeria and Ukraine.
